BUZZ-Australian tech stocks eye worst day in 6 months on Wall Street slump

** Australian technology stocks .AXIJ track overnight slide in U.S.-listed peers to fall as much as 4.42% to 2,329.8 points, their lowest level since April 28

** Wall Street ended sharply lower on Thursday, with steep losses in Nvidia NVDA.O and other AI heavyweights, as investors scaled back expectations of interest rate cuts due to inflation worries .N

** IT services provider Data#3 DTL.AX and fintech software firm Iress IRE.AX lead losses, giving up over 1% and 2%, respectively

** AXIJ on track to mark four straight sessions of losses

** Sub-index loses 9.5% so far in its third consecutive week of losses

** Sub-index down 15.1% YTD, including the day's move
