0944 GMT - DFS Furniture has made an encouraging start to fiscal 2026, Panmure Liberum analysts Wayne Brown and Ben Hunt write. Margins improve due to lower-than-expected freight costs, improved buying and lower interest costs, they write. Orders in the 19 weeks ended Nov. 9 grew compared with the same period a year prior. A continuing focus on innovation, data and technology-enhancing product development is clearly delivering benefits, they write. The company is well positioned to capture latent demand in the U.K. sofa market, they add. Shares trade up 1.6% at 161 pence. (adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
