Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. reported solid growth for its China commerce retail platforms, Taobao and Tmall, during the 2025 11.11 Shopping Festival. Tmall achieved its strongest 11.11 growth in gross merchandise value (GMV) net of refunds in four years. Nearly 600 brands surpassed RMB100 million in sales, with companies such as Apple, Haier, Midea, Yeswood, Xiaomi, FILA, Laopu Gold, CAMEL, Huawei, and Nike exceeding RMB1 billion in sales. A total of 14,246 new products each achieved RMB1 million in sales, and 30% of items with sales over RMB100 million were new products. Brands with access to the "Taobao Instant Commerce" channel recorded a 198% increase in daily average on-demand orders compared to September. Fliggy, Alibaba's travel platform, saw GMV net of refunds grow by over 30%. Among 88VIP members, daily active buyers increased by 31% year-over-year, and brands' flagship stores on Tmall added 145 million new loyalty members during the Festival. The deployment of AI tools improved merchant efficiency, with the AI Business Advisor generating over five million analytical reports and Dianxiaomi, the AI-powered customer service assistant, handling 300 million queries. Merchants using AI-aided customer support experienced a 30% increase in conversion rates year-over-year.
