Chevron (CVX), Phillips 66 (PSX), and TotalEnergies (TTE) won India's first long-term contracts to supply US liquefied petroleum gas to three state refiners starting in 2026, Reuters reported Friday, citing two trade sources with knowledge of the matter.
Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum tendered to purchase 2 million metric tons, or 48 very large gas carriers, the report said.
The suppliers have the option to deliver non-US cargoes once out of every four shipments, the report said.
Chevron, Phillips 66, TotalEnergies, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
