CHICAGO, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were steady to higher while soy bids were mixed in the U.S. Midwest on Friday.
The U.S. government is reopening after a 43-day shutdown, and farmers and investors are waiting for the U.S. Department of Agriculture to resume releasing data withheld during that period.
Farmer selling has been light this week and growers are awaiting a USDA crop supply and demand report due on Friday. The USDA is expected to cut its U.S. corn and soybean production estimates in the report.
