Medibank Private (ASX:MPL) shares were down almost 1% in recent Tuesday trading after the company said on Monday that GenesisCare is now providing on-site chemotherapy services at its 49% owned Western Hospital as part of a broader expansion of care for Adelaide's western suburbs, according to a statement.
"We're thrilled to welcome GenesisCare's expanded cancer services to Western Hospital and to offer even more services through our new inpatient ward and day surgery clinic. These additions allow us to care for more people, more quickly, and help take pressure off the broader public system," said Western Hospital Chief Executive David Coorey.
