消息面上，胡塞武装当地时间11月9日警告，如果加沙地带停火协议破裂、以色列恢复对加沙的进攻，该组织将恢复袭击以色列、并禁止以色列船只在红海和阿拉伯海航行。由于自10月10日停火开始以来，该组织尚未宣称发动任何袭击，市场将信件内容理解为胡塞现已停止袭击。市场同时担忧大规模重返红海可能导致导致全球各条航线的运费进一步大幅下跌。
方正中期期货发布研报称，媒体报导胡塞武装宣布停止攻击红海商船，不过该消息真实性有待核实。并且，即便胡塞武装个别高级官员发表过类似表态，班轮公司依然可能担忧胡塞武装因加沙问题出尔反尔，不会贸然立即完全复航，采取小规模试探性逐步复航的可能性更高。
