New Fortress Energy Signs Forbearance Agreement on 2029 Notes; Shares Fall

New Fortress Energy (NFE) said Tuesday it signed a forbearance agreement with holders of its senior secured notes due 2029 that extends the interest payment date.

Under the agreement, the due date for interest payments has been extended to Dec. 15 from Monday. The company said it expects to continue working with its stakeholders during the forbearance period.

The company's shares were down 4.6% in recent trading.
