Globaltec Formation (KLSE:GLOTEC) unit NuEnergy Gas (ASX:NGY) has completed drilling and well completion for the TE-B01-003 well in its Tanjung Enim POD 1 contract area in South Sumatra, Indonesia.

The well is the last of four planned coal bed methane wells under its early gas sales initiative, targeting initial sales of 1 million standard cubic feet per day.

Gas shows were observed at the surface, confirming methane across multiple coal seams, according to a Monday Malaysian bourse filing.

A progressive cavity pump has been installed to help achieve stable gas production, with dewatering preparations underway.

Gas will be delivered to PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk's processing facility once production levels are met, the company said.
