消息面上，11月14日，外交部和中国驻日本使领馆郑重提醒中国公民近期避免前往日本。11月15日，国航、南航、东航等多家航司发出通知，对于出行日期在12月31日之前且符合相关条件的涉及日本航线客票，可免费退改。
据大河报报道，中国大陆-日本周度航班量已大幅下滑，据航班管家数据，第45周(11.03-11.09)周航班量1189班次，恢复率较2019年同期为82.9%，环比第40周下降14.5%。某航司市场部人士表示：在外交部发布最新通告以及航司发布中日航线免费退改签政策后，航司或将进一步减少赴日航班，将运力调整至其他航线。
