DevEx Resources to Acquire Nine Northern Territory Exploration License Applications from Rio Tinto Unit

DevEx Resources (ASX:DEV) agreed to acquire nine exploration license applications within the Alligator Rivers uranium province in the Northern Territory from Rio Tinto's (ASX:RIO) Rio Tinto Exploration subsidiary, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Consideration for the transaction includes a AU$50,000 deposit payable on execution, AU$450,000 payable at completion, and a AU$500,000 payment contingent upon hitting certain conditions, the filing said.
Rio Tinto shares rose 1% in afternoon Thursday trade.
