智通财经APP获悉，美国东北部最大的公用事业提供商之一Eversource Energy(ES.US)周三收跌逾12%。此前，康涅狄格州公用事业监管局投票否决了该公司以24亿美元将其子公司Aquarion Water出售给一个新成立的准公共实体的提案。
据报道，尽管监管小组认定该交易在财务和技术层面均合规可行，但鉴于收购Aquarion Water的拟议治理结构存在“结构性问题及地方控制权相关缺陷，不符合管理适配要求”，最终驳回了交易申请。
若交易达成，Aquarion Water——这家为23万用户服务的康州最大水务公司——将从上市企业Eversource Energy剥离并转入一家参照纽黑文市中康涅狄格州南部地区水务局模式设立的非营利性机构。
包括康涅狄格州总检察长William Tong在内的反对者此前警告，该交易可能导致家庭公用事业费用上涨、地方税收收入减少，并削弱对水费的监管力度。
据悉，Eversource Energy原计划将出售所得用于削减债务，并为核心的电力和天然气业务进行资本再投资。
