Market Chatter: Pinkfong Shares Surge 62% on South Korean Market Debut After KRW76 Billion IPO

Shares of entertainment giant Pinkfong (KOSDAQ:403850) surged 62% from its initial public offering (IPO) price when it debuted on South Korea's Kosdaq market on Tuesday, Bloomberg reported the same day.

The stock opened at 58,000 won and briefly surged to 61,500 won in early Tuesday trade, before trading at 51,100 won as of 11:21am in Seoul.

The creator of Baby Shark recently completed an initial public offering that raised 76 billion won. Its shares were priced at 38,000 won per unit, which was the top end of the marketed range. At its IPO price, Pinkfong remains undervalued at roughly 25 times projected 2025 earnings, well below the peer average of around 40, the report cited NH Investment & Securities.
