Bally's (BALY) and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters have reached an agreement allowing casino workers a direct and fair path to union representation through a card check process, Teamsters said Tuesday.
This means Bally's employees in Black Hawk, Colorado, can choose Teamsters representation simply by signing authorization cards, and once a majority signs, Bally's will automatically recognize the group as Teamsters, it added.
"This agreement reflects our commitment to listening, learning, and working together with the Teamsters to support our employees and the communities where we live and operate," Bally's Chairman Soo Kim said.
Bally's Black Hawk operates three premier casino properties in Black Hawk, Colorado, the Teamsters noted.
Bally's didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment. Shares of the company rose 2% in recent trading.
