Air New Zealand Buys Back Over 150,000 Ordinary Shares

Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ, NZE:AIR) bought back 150,983 ordinary shares, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
The company repurchased 73,970 shares on the Australian Stock Exchange at an average of AU$0.54 each, and about 77,013 shares from the Sovereign through the Minister of Finance at NZ$0.6195 each, the filing said.
The company now has 3.24 billion ordinary shares in issue and 93 shares held as treasury stock.
The airline's Australian and Kiwi shares each shed 1% in recent Wednesday trade.
