智通财经APP获悉，私募股权公司Clayton Dubilier & Rice(CD&R)已达成协议，收购发明泡泡纸的包装企业希悦尔公司(SEE.US)，交易估值达62亿美元。
根据当地时间周一的公告，该私募公司将以每股42.15美元的价格收购总部位于北卡罗来纳州夏洛特的希悦尔。该价格略低于上周五43.28美元的收盘价——此前曾有报道称CD&R正在考虑收购事宜。
公告显示，此次交易企业价值达103亿美元。截至发稿，希悦尔盘前下跌3.2%至41.90美元。
据希悦尔官网介绍，公司渊源可追溯至1957年，当时工程师阿尔弗雷德·菲尔德和马克·沙瓦纳通过层压两张中间夹有气泡的塑料薄膜，发明了一种新型墙面装饰材料。虽然该设计未能作为墙面装饰流行起来，但这种轻质隔热产品后来演变成了风靡全球的包装材料——泡泡纸。
希悦尔的产品线还包括Cryovac收缩袋、Instapak泡沫包装，以及医用薄膜、灌装设备和食品包装器械。
