0704 GMT - Zurich Insurance's investor day is set to detail some areas of strength underpinning its midterm plan. "As such, it should be more about confidence in the existing group financial targets and hence largely neutral to consensus estimates in aggregate," Keefe, Bruyette & Wood analyst William Hawkins says in a research note. The Zurich-based company will focus on its Farmers, retail, middle-market, and specialty businesses. One of the key talking points has been how Farmers Exchanges--the policyholder-owned inter-insurance exchanges in California that have contracts with Zurich-- can reach mid-to-high single digit gross written premium growth into a softening U.S. retail market, he says. The analyst hopes to learn more about the balance between policy count and premium per policy in this equation, he adds. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
