0914 ET - BJ's Wholesale Club clears a low bar with mixed 3Q results, William Blair's Phillip Blee says in a research note. The warehouse club's miss on comparable-club sales was largely expected, and landed better than feared against tough comparisons from hurricanes in the prior year, Blee writes. "The EPS beat was a nice surprise," he adds. "We believe the stock's performance will largely hinge on any color on fourth-quarter-to-date performance and management's tone around its ability to accelerate growth during holidays," Blee says. BJ's Wholesale Club is up 0.4% premarket. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
