北京时间11月22日午间消息，美国众议员Marjorie Taylor Greene周五宣布辞职，说她拒绝做一个 “受虐的女性”，此前她与美国总统特朗普公开发生争执。
她的辞职标志着一个惊人的转折，几个月前很少有人会想到这一点。 来自佐治亚州的共和党人Greene曾是特朗普最亲密的盟友之一，也是其 “美国优先”议程直言不讳的倡导者，但最近几个月，两人的不和因政府公布与爱泼斯坦（Jeffrey Epstein）有关的档案和其他议题而扩大。
Greene在社交媒体上发布的一段10分钟视频中说，她辞职的原因是，她可能要面对特朗普支持的共和党初选挑战者，以及明年中期选举中民主党可能接管众议院。她还抱怨说，自特朗普今年1月重返白宫以来，国会在很大程度上一直 “靠边站”。
特朗普在接受ABC新闻采访时说，Greene的辞职“对国家来说是个好消息。这真是太好了”。Greene的辞职将于1月5日生效。
Greene对美国政治现状表示遗憾，认为共和党和民主党的议员都没有致力于解决国家的问题，包括生活成本的上涨。
特朗普和Greene之间的公开争执加剧了一些共和党人的担忧，即特朗普 “让美国再次伟大（MAGA）”的基础可能会在中期选举前的一年出现裂痕，而民主党希望在中期选举中重新控制国会。
