BRC Asia's Attributable Profit Declines 5% in Fiscal H2

BRC Asia's (SGX:BEC) attributable profit to owners in fiscal half ended Sept.30 declined by 5% to SG$52.2million from SG$55.0 million a year earlier, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Sunday.

Shares of the prefabricated steel reinforcement company were up nearly 1% in Monday trading.

Earnings per share fell to SG$0.1904 compared with SG$0.2005 in the comparable period.

Revenue meanwhile, jumped 16% year over year to SG$837.4 million from SG$723.1 million, driven by higher delivery volumes in both domestic and overseas markets.

The company declared an interim tax dividend of SG$0.06 per share, a final dividend of SG$0.07 per share and a special dividend of SG$0.07 for the fiscal year ended Sept.30, taking the total dividend for the period to SG$0.2 per share.
