IQM 量子计算公司（IQM Quantum Computers）表示，将投资超 4000 万欧元（约合 4600 万美元）扩建其位于芬兰的生产基地。该公司被视为欧洲在量子计算领域角逐全球市场的关键力量。
IQM 量子计算公司称，此次投资将使其生产线产能翻倍，并提高量子计算机的年产量。
IQM 量子计算公司运营副总裁帕西・基维宁（Pasi Kivinen）在一份声明中表示：“这里将成为全球最先进的量子计算机生产设施之一，集生产线与芯片制造于一体。”
量子计算机的运算速度远超传统计算机，其技术被认为对网络安全至关重要。
欧盟数字与创新专员亨娜・维尔库宁（Henna Virkkunen）曾在 7 月表示，欧盟希望为该地区的量子技术领域争取更多私人资金支持。
