1343 ET - U.S. natural gas stocks fall for a second consecutive week, with gas in underground storage down by 11 billion cubic feet at 3,935 Bcf, the EIA reports. The draw compared with an average expectation of a 1 Bcf build in a WSJ survey of analysts. The withdrawal was smaller than the 25 Bcf five-year average for the week and increased the surplus to 160 Bcf from 146 Bcf the week before. "Inventories overall remain in very comfortable position ahead of the impending ramp-up in winter weather, but the market is likely looking at a stretch of robust withdrawals in the weeks ahead," Andy Huenefeld of Pinebrook Energy Advisors says in a note. Nymex natural gas is up 2% at $4.572/mmBtu.(anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
