Deere's 2026 Guide Flags Deeper Large Ag Downturn -- Market Talk

0917 ET - Deere's initial look at fiscal 2026 points to a continued slump in large agriculture demand, as the world's biggest seller of farm equipment braces for what it senses to be the bottom of the global ag cycle. The company expects net income of $4 billion to $4.75 billion for the year, a wide range that falls short of Wall Street's view and underscores uncertainty around North American large-equipment, Raymond James analysts say in a research note. Deere expects industry sales of big ag machinery to fall up to 20% next year, though the weakness is projected to be offset by improving trends in its smaller agriculture and construction units, the analysts say. Deere falls 3% premarket. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
