Deere Sees Equipment Sales Slump Bottoming in 2026 -- Market Talk

0919 ET - Deere predicts 2026 will mark the bottom of a long slump in farm equipment demand. The company is forecasting industry-wide unit sales of large farm equipment in the U.S. and Canada will decline by 15% to 20% from 2025. Deere expects flat sales in South America and modest growth in ag sales in Europe. Lower prices for farm commodities in recent years have been weighing on farmers' incomes and in turn holding down demand for new equipment. (robert.tita@wsj.com)
