韩国政府周四成立了一个由三星电子、现代汽车集团等公司组成的工作组，以推进利用美国芯片巨头英伟达提供的26万枚GPU在全国范围内建立人工智能（AI）基础设施的努力。
在英伟达宣布向韩国政府和主要企业集团供应多达26万枚Blackwell GPU的计划大约一个月后，韩国科学部副部长Ryu Je-myung主持召开了该小组的成立会议。
在当天的会议上，三星、现代、SK电信、Naver Cloud等公司的高层管理人员讨论了GPU计划的实施战略和扩大合作的方案，以加强人工智能生态系统。
与会者同意通过新的工作组维持一个常设协调系统，工作组将定期召开会议。
英伟达上个月宣布，计划与韩国政府和大型企业合作，在韩国部署多达26万枚GPU，建设大规模人工智能工厂。
该公司表示，基于Blackwell基础设施将使韩国的人工智能GPU总装机容量从约6.5万个增加到30多万个，使韩国成为美国以外世界上最大的人工智能计算中心之一。
