0208 GMT - Want Want China's efforts to diversify its products and channels seems pivotal to the Chinese snack maker's long-term domestic market position, Morningstar's Jacky Tsang says in a note. The diversification could drive revenue growth even as customers face more choices from emerging channels, he says. The company also seems to be making progress in expanding sales volumes through snack discount chains across its dairy, rice crackers and snack sub-segments, the analyst adds, noting that this channel already accounted for 15% of sales in 1H FY 2026. "Overseas markets present another long-term growth runway for Want Want, given its strong brand recognition among Chinese consumers globally," he says. Morningstar retains its fair-value estimate at HK$6.40, viewing the shares as undervalued. Shares are up 0.2% to HK$4.72. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
