1053 GMT - The president of L'Oreal's luxury division, Cyril Chapuy, sees improving trends in the luxury beauty market, analysts at UBS says in a note. The luxury market has picked up in China after a downbeat first half of the year, they say. "Whilst still early days, and China not yet back to its pre-Covid double digit run rate, recent developments seem particularly encouraging," the analysts say. In the U.S., trends have improved quarter after quarter this year, with the fragrance category accelerating in the past weeks, UBS says. Chapuy was "reasonably optimistic," the analysts add. The stock trades 2.1% higher. (andrea.figueras@wsj.com)
