** Mineral explorer executes binding option and joint venture agreements to acquire 80% of Laverton gold project, including historically mined Red Dog mining lease and surrounding exploration tenure
** About 4.3 million shares change hands, 22.1x 30-day average
** Stock has more than doubled in value this year, including the day's moves
