WestStar Unit Secures About AU$5 Million Fortescue Contract

WestStar Industrial (ASX:WSI) secured a AU$4.5 million contract for its wholly owned subsidiary Simpec to carry out modification works at Fortescue's (ASX:FMG) Solomon power station, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The project is set to start immediately and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026, per the filing.
The project includes the construction, commissioning, and testing of an 11-megawatt gas reciprocating engine at the existing power station, as well as the installation and testing of all supporting balance of plant infrastructure, the filing added.
