Thomson Reuters' (TRI) management is showing its ability to navigate a quickly changing AI environment, RBC Capital Markets said in a note emailed Wednesday following investor meetings.

More disclosures from the company surrounding agentic AI adoption next year would "not only add to medium-term earnings visibility but could be a catalyst for disconnecting Thomson Reuters from the broader AI disruption narrative," RBC said.

Thomson Reuters' management is confident it will be able to deliver on its 2026 outlook due to factors like "AI-driven up-tiering momentum and pricing power," especially related to the company's Legal Professionals segment, the investment firm said.

Meanwhile, the company is also seeing "sustained double-digit growth" from other segments like Dominio, margin benefits from positive operating leverage, as well as an increase in AI-backed internal operating efficiencies, the note said.

RBC has a sector perform rating on Thomson Reuters and a $177 price target.
