美国财政部长斯科特・贝森特（Scott Bessent）于周三表示，他计划推动一项要求，即美国 12 家地区联邦储备银行（简称 “地区联储”）的行长在获任领导各自银行前，需在其所在辖区至少居住满三年。

　　贝森特在《纽约时报》DealBook 峰会（纽约时报主办的年度商业与政策峰会）上发表讲话时称，今后他将推动一项举措：对于未达到这一居住年限门槛的候选人，其任命需由位于华盛顿的美联储理事会（Fed‘s Board of Governors）予以否决。

　　“美联储主席及理事会对地区联储董事会可推选的人选拥有最终决定权，” 贝森特表示，“因此我认为，除非某人已在该辖区居住满三年，否则我们将否决其任命。”
