Aboitiz Power's JV Faces Over PHP1 Million Penalty Over Regulatory Non-Compliance

Aboitiz Power's (PSE:AP) joint venture with SN Power Philippines, SN Aboitiz Power-Magat, faces a penalty of about 1.4 million Philippine pesos by the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation Enforcement and Compliance Office (PEMC-ECO).

The penalty is for alleged non-compliance with dispatch conformance standards for the billing period of June 2025, according to a Monday Philippines Exchange filing.

The company said most of the non-compliances arose from SN Aboitiz Power-Magat fulfilling its obligations to provide ancillary services under its deal with the System Operator. The JV firm has filed an appeal memorandum with the PEMC Compliance Committee, and the matter remains pending.

Aboitiz Power said it will disclose any material developments on the case.
