The Fair Work Commission (FWC) has approved a union appeal for a single interest employer authorization covering six Chemist Warehouse franchisees in South Australia, a store chain recently acquired by Sigma Healthcare (ASX:SIG), according to a Wednesday disclosure by the commission.
The Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association (SDA) had applied to the FWC for permission to start bargaining a multi-employer agreement across several Chemist Warehouse franchisees in South Australia.
Under the ruling, the SDA is now allowed to start bargaining a multi-employer enterprise agreement for staff across those Chemist Warehouse stores.
The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' email request for comment.
