Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) completed the final AU$25 million payment for the acquisition of the 1.2-million-tonnes-per-year Lakewood processing facility at its Kal East Gold Operation in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The payment, fully funded from operating cash flow, settles all remaining obligations under the acquisition, per the filing.
The company acquired Lakewood in March for a total of AU$85 million, consisting of AU$70 million in cash and AU$15 million in fully paid ordinary shares, with AU$25 million of the cash initially deferred, the filing said.
The company is now undertaking an engineering study to assess expanding the facility's capacity to 1.5 million tonnes per annum, the filing added.
