Shanghai Electric Power to Conduct Up to 4.20 Billion Yuan Worth of Perpetual Trust Financing; Shares Down 5%

Shanghai Electric Power (SHA:600021) proposed to conduct perpetual trust financing of up to 4.20 billion yuan to help optimize the company's asset-liability structure, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.

The power company's shares dropped less than 5% during Monday's midday trade.

The perpetual trust financing will be conducted with Bairui Trust, a subsidiary of the company's controlling shareholder, State Power Investment.
