1147 GMT - The U.K. final purchasing manager index $(PMI)$ data for November came in better than expected, indicating that businesses remained resilient in the midst of uncertainty in the lead-up to the budget, Pantheon Macroeconomics economists say in a note. The S&P Global services PMI stood at 51.3 points in November, below October's level but up from the preliminary estimate and still above the 50.0 point mark which indicates improving activity. Business activity is expected to pick up in December after the budget brought clarity on fiscal measures, the economists say. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
