Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN) started construction of the mine and supporting infrastructure at its Lamb Creek iron ore project in Western Australia, according to a Thursday statement by the company.
Lamb Creek will be an open-pit mine with a capacity of 7.5 million tonnes per year, the company said.
The company expects the first ore at the project in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026.
