Aegon Has Limited Upside Potential -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Dec 04

1036 GMT - Aegon is now fairly valued and has limited upside potential, UBS says in a research note downgrading the Dutch insurer and asset manager to neutral from buy. Shares are fairly valued and the investor day that the group is hosting next week shouldn't move the needle as its risk-reward is balanced, the analysts write. The company could announce a large share buyback for next year, which would be positive for the investment case. "We see upside risks on capital returns and [sum of the parts] unlock; however, execution risk and exposure to market risks remain high," they note. UBS nudges up its price target to 7.30 euros from 7.20 euros. Shares slip 0.8% to 6.78 euros. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
