Performance Shipping (PSHG) said late Friday that the planned forward sale of its 2009-built Aframax tanker, M/T P. Sophia, will not proceed after the vessel was not chosen for the proposed offshore project.
In April, the company granted an unaffiliated third party the exclusive right to bid on converting the vessel into a floating production storage and offloading unit.
The buyer has since informed Performance Shipping that the tanker was not selected for the project, the company added.
