U.K. House Builders' Spring Selling Season Likely to Be Positive -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Dec 08

0953 GMT - The spring selling season should be positive for U.K. house builders with scope for at least 15% to 20% multiple reratings, Citi analyst Ami Galla says in a note. This is because some downside risk concerns on 2026 performance are fading, restoring investor sentiment on the sector's multi-year earnings recovery prospects, Galla says. "We continue to have a positive sector view for the U.K. house builders and see the upcoming spring selling season as a key catalyst to build investor confidence on the multi-year recovery prospects which have likely been dampened by fiscal concerns and weak autumn trading this year," Galla says. Vistry shares are down 2.1%, followed by Barratt Redrow, down 1.9%, and Bellway, down 1.6%. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)
