West Wits Mining (ASX:WWI) started operations at the Qala Shallows underground mine in South Africa, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The first gold pour at the mine is set for March 2026, the filing said.
The mine has steady-state production of about 70,000 ounces of gold per year for 12 years and a 17-year life, the filing added.
