自2018年9月以来，投资者首次认为花旗集团的交易价值至少等于其各部分资产价值的总和。

　　对于正推进扭亏改革计划的首席执行官Jane Fraser而言，这无疑是一个提振。花旗周五的市值相较其资产价值的比率（即市净率）回升至持平水平，显示该行正在逐步摆脱落后地位。

　　市净率是一项银行投资者高度关注的估值指标。由于监管机构高度重视账面价值，且银行的商业模式可能导致盈利波动较大，相比其他行业常用的市盈率等指标，市净率能为投资银行业的人士提供更稳定参考。

　　富国银行分析师Mike Mayo在采访中表示，“这是一个重要的里程碑，因为它反映出公司从价值破坏走向价值创造，市净率达到1或更高意味着从一家不值得存在的公司转变为一家值得存在的公司。”Mayo重申，他将花旗列为2026年的首选银行股。

　　花旗曾是唯一一家股价低于每股账面价值的大型银行，目前市净率仍远低于同行。摩根士丹利、摩根大通和高盛的市净率都远超2。
