作为负责设定利率的2026年联邦公开市场委员会（FOMC）的投票委员，鲍尔森补充道，她认为当前的政策“略显紧缩”，这进一步暗示如果劳动力市场出现进一步疲软，将有更多宽松政策的空间。
她说：“当前的利率水平，加上过去紧缩政策的累积效应，应有助于将通胀率带回2%的目标水平。”
鲍尔森还表示，她将关注经济增长的驱动因素。如果由人工智能带来的生产率提升成为主要因素，这将使美联储有空间避免为遏制通胀而加息。
