Huntington Ingalls Industries Advances ROMULUS USV Program With Prototype Now 30% Built

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) said Thursday that construction of its ROMULUS unmanned surface vessel prototype has reached 30% completion, keeping the project on track for sea trials in late 2026.
The modular, artificial intelligence-driven vessel is designed for missions including intelligence collection, counter-unmanned air system operations, mine countermeasures, strike, and the launch and recovery of unmanned aerial and underwater vehicles, Huntington said.
Shares of Huntington were up 1.7% in recent trading.
