Talga Group (ASX:TLG) said the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden issued a positive ruling earlier this week, granting the company the right to conduct graphite mining activities at the Nunasvaara North, Niska South, and Niska North deposits, part of the Vittangi graphite project, for an initial term of 25 years, with provisions for extensions, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The development of the deposits will proceed if the company secures full environmental permitting before any extraction activities, per the filing. Baseline environmental data is being collected, and related preparatory work is underway.
The company's shares fell nearly 6% in recent trading on Wednesday.
