SoftBank Group (TYO:9984) is exploring potential acquisitions, including data center operator Switch, as founder Masayoshi Son intensifies its search for deals in the AI-driven digital infrastructure sector, Bloomberg News reported Friday.

Softbank has engaged in discussions with Switch's leadership and is conducting due diligence on the privately held company, the news wire said, citing people familiar with the matter.

Separately, as previously reported, SoftBank has also been in advanced talks to potentially acquire DigitalBridge Group, a major private equity backer of Switch, the publication said.

SofttBank Group has yet to reply to MTNewswire's queries at press time.
