Expansionary Fiscal Policy, Economic Resilience Point to Higher Global Bond Yields -- Market Talk

1015 GMT - Wellington Management's base case for global yields is to edge higher throughout 2026, Amar Reganti and Marco Giordano say in a note. "Expansionary fiscal policies and resilient economies should result in higher risk premia across bond markets, despite some weakening in labor markets," the investment managers say. Productivity gains could offset some of this upward pressure, but there is substantial timing uncertainty, particularly regarding AI's ability to neutralize the negative impact of growing trade restrictions and deteriorating demographics, they say.
