Shimmick Corporation has been named the preferred bidder for two major infrastructure projects in the Los Angeles area, totaling approximately $81.5 million. The first project involves significant electrical, structural, and civil improvements at the Port of Los Angeles' Berths 49-51 Outer Harbor Cruise Terminal, with a focus on supporting shore power and modern cruise terminal operations. The second project consists of upgrades to the influent pumping and electrical systems at the Palmdale Water Reclamation Plant, enhancing operational reliability and system performance. Construction on both projects is expected to begin in 2026 after final permitting and preconstruction activities are completed.
