SSE Transmission's Long-Term Loan Makes Sense -- Market Talk

0939 GMT - SSE Transmission agreeing a 12-year 1 billion-pound loan makes sense for its long-dated capital projects, RBC Capital Markets says. This allows SSE, which has a 75% stake in the company, to diversify its funding sources, RBC says. The loan--backed by an 800 million-pound financial guarantee from the U.K. government's National Wealth Fund--will support four major grid upgrade projects in Scotland. Shares are up 0.6% at 2,164 pence. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)
