Jumbo Interactive (ASX:JIN) said Lotterywest has awarded the contract to Brightstar Lottery to replace its gaming and digital platform, with Jumbo to support the project as a subcontractor providing components to the platforms, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Under the proposed deal, Brightstar will deliver the gaming and digital systems for Lotterywest, while Jumbo will integrate components of its Jumbo Lottery Platform, including the website and mobile apps, and contribute elements of its player account management module.
Jumbo said its existing software-as-a-service agreement held directly with Lotterywest, through which Jumbo operates the "Lotterywest by OzLotteries" digital channel, remains unchanged.
The transition from Lotterywest's existing platform to the new Brightstar-led platform will be executed in phases, with go-live currently targeted for the third quarter of 2027, with the timing for delivery of the digital component expected to follow, although the precise implementation timeline is still to be determined.
